Q. Which artists have influenced you?
A huge mix, but a few to note are Bombay Bicycle Club, Bon Iver, FKJ, Everything Everything, Lone, Tom Misch, Kaasi
Q. How would you describe your music?
Hip Hop influenced dance music to be listened to at 4 a.m.
Q. What can you tell about your latest EP "Mosaic”?
We pieced together an almost random mixture of sounds from different places at different times in an attempt to make one concise body of work.
Q. How was the match with Mineral Records?
Kartell featured one of our songs in a mixtape he did. We were so happy as we’d been long time fans anyway. He later got in touch saying he’d been playing us quite a lot and explained he was starting up a label (Mineral Records) and wanted us to release an EP through it.
Q. If you could only hear a single song in your life which one would it be?
Kyle - Currently… BADBADNOTGOOD - In Your Eyes (feat. Charlotte Day Wilson)
Nick - Today’s choice would be… Dionne Warwick - Walk On By
Q. How would you describe London's electronic music scene?
Its really good. London is a huge melting pot of influences from everywhere. You can pretty much find whatever you want if you know where to look. You can easily stumble across something amazing by accident. It’s equally difficult to know where to start though!
Q. Do you have a ritual before you produce?
Not on purpose. We normally meet and have a cup of tea. But thats probably just because its in the morning… or we’re British.
Q. Which is your favourite own track?
Kyle - Zhaoxing
Nick - Close
Q. What’s next for you?
Keep making new music for now.
Q. Have you been in Mexico or have you heard something about it?
Kyle has been to Mexico City. Such an amazing place, would love to go back if given the chance.
Q. What can you tell us about your mixtape?
We tried to reflect our creative process a bit so you’ll find that it’s all over the place and bipolar at points.
